The application process was really smooth and efficient online, with an online assessment, then a phone interview, and finally an assessment centre. However, dealing with the recruiter afterwards was a different story. I got an email to call her for a quick chat, but kept getting her voicemail when I rang the number. I missed her callback once because it only rang for like 10 seconds, and then I got another email asking me to call again, which was the same as the first one. After trying for 10 days with no luck, I missed her call because I was on the phone with a client. I called her back within 30 seconds, but she had no clue who I was or what job I was applying for, which was weird since I had explained that she had just called me. When we finally spoke, she was really hard to hear, and I had to ask her to repeat herself a lot. She scheduled a phone interview for the next week at 1100. I confirmed the date and time, and she said yes, next week at 1230. I asked for a confirmation email because I wasn't sure about the time, but never got one. The phone interview eventually happened around 1230 because she was late calling me. The interview itself was okay, she seemed to rush through it, and I had to ask her to repeat most of the questions because it sounded like she was on speakerphone and far away from it. I'd expect a recruiter from EE to be more organized and communicate better.

It was a telephone interview that took about 25 minutes. Someone from recruiting was reading questions and writing down answers. It felt like an outdated way to screen candidates for a big company like EE. The interviewer didn't seem to have sales experience and was just reading from a screen. I wouldn't recommend this method even for a small company. You can't properly screen a Store Manager candidate with this approach. It's not a good way to assess their skills and achievements, only asking basic questions about the company and generic ones about training people, which can be found online. EE's recruitment quality is very poor, and they won't hire the right people this way. Recruitment is crucial for a company, and they are getting it wrong from the start.

I first had to do an online assessment, and after that, I got a phone interview. The last step was a 3.5-hour assessment day with 3 different parts, which was actually pretty fun. I got the job offer later that day.
