First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Edward-Elmhurst Health.
Registered Nurse
This interview was an awful waste of time. It could have been conducted over the phone, but I drove a very long way just for the manager to tell me they are not hiring. Their attitude was very unprofessional. I would not recommend interviewing here.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What makes you choose Edward?
Nurse
I went through the interview process for the Nurse Residency Program. The first round involved talking with two staff members, one of whom had completed the residency. They asked a mix of behavioral questions and questions about my personal experiences. I was offered a second interview within three business days. I recently finished that second interview. It started with a chat with the talent coordinator where we discussed my availability to start the program on time, any planned vacations, and salary expectations. After that, I met with a three-person panel for more behavioral questions. The overall experience was really positive, and I'm very excited about this opportunity. I received an offer for the program four business days later.
- Can you tell me about a situation where you observed someone not following protocol and describe your actions?
- What are your salary expectations?
- Would you be able to begin the program at the scheduled start date?
Registered Nurse
Person applies, if the application is acknowledged by recruiting, they'll review the person's history. Sometimes there's a phone interview, and if the recruiter thinks it's a good fit, the applicant might get an interview with the department manager. The manager then reviews the resume and history to see if the individual is qualified for the department. It's pretty common for job postings to be just a formality because the position is already filled by someone internally.
- How do you meet the qualifications for this role?
