Customer Service Specialist
I had a mediocre interview experience. The recruiter was awesome, but there were four unnecessary separate interviews with the President for an entry-level position, which is totally unheard of. I can see two or three interviews for an entry-level job, but not four. Questionable hiring managers made snide remarks like, 'Why don't you go back to school if you are looking to get into software development?' The hiring team was late 6-15 minutes in every interview.
- What are your five-year career goals?
Helpdesk Support Engineer
Recruiter reached out after my resume was active on job boards, mentioning they had 6 openings for L1/L2 helpdesk roles for software support. The process involved a 1-hour in-person interview with the helpdesk manager and two team leads. Later, I had a 15-minute phone interview with the VP while driving home one day. This was followed by a 45-minute in-person interview with the CEO, CIO, VP, and HR. The whole process spanned about 3 weeks. After the final interview, I discussed salary and the bonus plan with HR and received an offer letter. I then asked to renegotiate the salary, and HR said they'd check with management and get back to me.
- Were there any challenging technical questions during the phone or in-person interviews?
- Did it seem like a 'feel me out' personality test since my skills were already in line with their expectations?
Software Developer
First, there was a formal HR call where they looked over my resume and experience. Then, I had a technical onsite interview with two people. They focused on C#, data structures, teamwork, strings, and agile software development, plus some behavioural questions. They let me know the result via email right after.
- Could you explain the difference between a hash table and a dictionary in C#?
- What is the difference between static, abstract, and internal in C#?
- Tell me about your teamwork experience.
Customer Service Representative
I had a phone interview with HR first. Then I had an in-person interview with HR. After that, there was a panel interview with 2-3 managers. Finally, there was a panel with 5-6 higher-ups, including the CEO. They did both panel interviews in one day for me, and I got an offer the same day. I felt I was personable and relaxed, and I'd highly recommend working here.
- Can you tell me about your background and previous work experience?
- Describe some of your key personality characteristics.
- How do you think you'd fit in with our current team and contribute to our future workforce?
