The interviews themselves with EDSI are okay, the questions are what you'd expect and the staff is nice. It's the lack of coordination between departments that makes things confusing for applicants. The first step was a phone chat with a recruiter, which happened within a day of sending my resume. They asked pretty basic questions. I was supposed to have an in-person meeting at their office. But when I arrived, the receptionist told me I'd be doing a phone interview in a conference room and wouldn't be meeting anyone face-to-face. This was annoying because I had to take time off work to come to their office just to talk on the phone. The phone call itself was fine. At the end, the interviewer said I wouldn't be meeting anyone that day, but asked me to wait in the room until someone escorted me out. I waited about ten minutes, and then ended up having a face-to-face interview with local staff after all. Again, the questions were typical, but it seemed like nobody knew what was going on. At the end of that meeting, I was told the next step would be a presentation of my 45-day plan. Later, I got a call asking me to complete a background check, and they said if I passed that, the job was mine, no presentation needed. A few hours after that, someone else called to set up the presentation, even though the previous person said it wasn't happening. I did the presentation, and it went well. It was done over webcam with people in different locations. After it was done, the local office contact told me I got the job and she'd try to speed up the offer. Three weeks later, when I asked for an update on the hiring timeline, I got a generic email saying they hadn't decided yet, but also wished me luck in my future, which I interpreted as a rejection. A week after that, I received a personal email from someone local saying no decisions had been made and they planned to finish interviews soon, making me think I was still in the running. The job ad is no longer visible, so I assume someone was hired, though I never received official notification.

I applied online and then a recruiter called me almost immediately. I asked for time to look into the company, and then called them back a few hours later. They asked about my background, the company, and why I'd be a good fit. They said they'd send info about a face-to-face interview and that I needed to take two assessments. A few days later, I had the face-to-face interview scheduled at the office. When I got there, they told me I'd be doing a phone call in the conference room instead. No one met me. The call was with someone from HR who lived far away and couldn't come, and they wanted to check if I fit the company culture.
