The hiring manager was very professional. The whole process was respectful and the questions asked were relevant to my work experience. It took about 40 minutes, with 2 interview rounds and a screening chat.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The HR person was totally unprepared and unprofessional, with an 'almighty' tone. They tried to negotiate for a lower salary even though the job ad listed a high range. The hiring manager seemed more interested in getting free ideas than hiring, asking me to prepare a full PowerPoint presentation with concepts for ongoing projects for the 4th interview. It felt like a total waste of time.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

So after like two generic phone interviews, they gave me two weeks notice to come in for a full-day interview where I had to prepare an hour long presentation, and they said they were very optimistic about me. But literally 18 hours before the interview, they EMAILED me cancelling the interview and said the position is being put on hold. I spent two weeks preparing and making sure I was gonna ace the presentation and technical writing review to get a slap in the face. The least they could've done was give me a courtesy call over the phone and a bit more of an explanation. To be honest, the process was very unprofessional and the first recruiter couldn't even send punctual emails or give me crucial information (although he was new and a nice guy). I'm almost glad that this happened because I learned that Edmund is a company I definitely would not have wanted to work for if this is how they operate. Something obviously was going wrong with their management. I would advise to just apply elsewhere. I've spoken with many more employers who were direct and honest, which is how it should be.

It was a fully remote process with both technical and sales-focused parts. I talked with about 10 people in total, including my potential supervisor, future teammates, some engineers, and some senior leaders. The company culture seems really great.
