I sent an email and then we had a video call with a bunch of the team members. They liked me and called me for a second interview, but I didn't end up getting the job.

First round had basic education interview questions with the department head and the office's version of a "principal." Second round you complete sample work to demonstrate content knowledge and basic computer skills/efficiency. It can take about a week to get back for the second round and then another week or so to hear back after that.

I showed up as a "walk in" the day after applying and the Student Success Director let me interview. I wanted to bypass HR and show initiative. The director let me talk about my qualifications for about 45 mins. They said I made a good impression and would be recommended for a follow up, putting me steps ahead. Two days later, HR called about salary, and there was no room to negotiate. I set up an interview with the director and department chair for a few days later. We talked for an hour about workflow and efficiency, I got one subject-related question, and then I had to write out responses to 3-4 pages of typical student questions, either rewriting the question or giving feedback on a student's sample answer. Then I could ask my questions. I didn't ask when I'd hear back. A few days later, I called HR to check on the process. They said they were still interviewing and in a rush but wanted the right person. I emailed the director to thank him for both interviews. On Saturday afternoon, I got an email saying another candidate was chosen, likely due to the large "candidate pool."
