Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Edenred.
Product Manager
The interview was quick and unprofessional. The recruiter started the call without introducing herself and didn't show interest in my experiences or skills, immediately focusing on salary expectations. The conversation ended quickly without a real deep dive into my profile, making the interview feel like a mere economic check. Moreover, this recruiter has contacted me several times over the last three years without ever providing concrete feedback on my CV. In the past, I also sent an email to request an update on my application, but I never received a response. If the only interest is salary, it would be appropriate to state it in the job posting, avoiding wasting the time of candidates looking for real job opportunities. As far as I'm concerned, I do not intend to apply for other roles at this company.
- What is your current salary expectation?
Product Manager
The interview welcome was good, and the position quite interesting. Unfortunately, I was not selected for this role, due to a lack of experience on my part. I will try again later. I think the position has been filled since then.
- Can you tell me about your experience with virtual cards?
Product Manager
I applied for a Product Manager position. In total, I met with no less than 8 people. After the initial discussions (meeting with the hiring manager, HR interview, a case study for which I sacrificed all my nights for a whole week), they let me know that my profile was highly appreciated, but that I was too Senior for the role I applied for. They offered the position to someone else and directed me to another opening where my background and seniority level would be better valued. A new series of interviews began. After these, I heard nothing from the company for 2 weeks, and I found myself having to follow up persistently. They finally told me I wasn't senior enough for this second offer. And so the process ended. In summary: time invested inversely proportional to the result obtained, a record swing from 'very' to 'not enough' Senior (the profiles sought were very similar for both offers - required years of experience: 5 years, I have 9), decision-making dependent on a rather impressive number of interviewers... I will mention though that the people I met and the discussions we had were very interesting. Good luck to them for the future, and to the next candidates.
- Can you describe the most challenging project you've encountered?
- What are your motivations for seeking employment with our company?
- What was your key takeaway from the job offer?
