I went through a few interviews: a screen and then 3 more. They were all conversational. The second interview was supposed to be the last one, but then they cut the role's scope in half because the business needs changed. After that, there was a third interview that was also presented as final, but it felt like the role's future was up in the air. I started to doubt it.

I submitted my application online in September 2023 for a Senior Project Manager position based in Toronto. About a month later, an HR representative contacted me for a brief phone conversation. During this call, they inquired about my willingness to work in the office three days a week, my vaccination status, and my flexibility concerning the salary. The offered salary range of 80-90k for a Senior PM with 7 years of experience seemed quite low for Toronto, and I'd advise checking the PMI salary index and adjusting for current inflation if you're in Project Management.

So, a current Edelman employee passed my resume to a recruiter, and I got an email the next day to chat with them. The recruiter call was about 30 minutes, and they were super helpful throughout. After that, I had interviews scheduled with a Senior PM, 2 VPs, and an EVP a few days later. One of the VPs couldn't make it, so it ended up being just three people. Each of those chats lasted 30-45 minutes and went well, they weren't trying to trick me, more like seeing if I'd be a good fit. Two days later, the recruiter called with an offer.
