I had a phone call with a Talent Acquisition Recruiter from CA about their Financial Planner position that I saw on the CFP Board's Career Center. The whole conversation revolved around building a client base from the ground up and how compensation works with one-time financial planning fees, commissions from selling insurance, and assets under management (AUM). It seemed very sales-focused, which I found a bit misleading for a role described as a Financial Planner.

So, first I got a call from HR which was about 30 minutes. Then I had a second interview over Webex with the regional manager, that one was about an hour. HR called me again after that to set up the third interview with another manager at HQ in Virginia, this one was also about an hour. HR reached out again to set up the next interview, which might be a visit or a video call with Senior Management.
