It was a pretty straightforward process with multiple calls with regional managers. They asked about my background, the process, and my personality. There were two different Zoom calls, and some rescheduling was needed. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would recommend anyone go through the hiring process.
- What makes you stand out from other advisors?

Found the job on LinkedIn, applied and connected with the Recruiter. Had a good phone chat with HR and then was invited for an in-person interview at the Phoenix/Biltmore office. I met with four managers/supervisors, in teams of two, for about 30 minutes each. Each team asked different types of questions. The first team's session was more of a 'tell me about yourself' kind of thing, and the second team's was more of a behavioral interview style. I was really glad I prepped a lot for the interview, including looking up my interviewers on LinkedIn beforehand. It helped me build rapport, calm down, and not stumble over answers to tougher questions.
- What would you do if someone called upset about a charge for a service they don't remember signing up for?
Financial Advisor
The interview process involved a panel discussion using the STAR behavioral technique. I wasn't well-prepared because the recruiter didn't give me the right date and hadn't sent the necessary documents beforehand. Having only 20 minutes' notice made it harder. The panel included three advisory managers. I was surprised one manager, who had only back-office experience and no prior advising experience, was on the panel. The role seemed more focused on education than actual advice, as a computer handles all the decision-making. The office staff were pleasant, but I knew some of the advisors from my current job, and none of them had been successful in this role. Ultimately, I would have declined the offer after considering everything.
- Tell me about a time you made a mistake.
