The interview process is pretty straightforward and not overly complicated or exhaustive. It's less rigorous than what you'd find at most major tech companies or cloud providers. They're not really focused on super tough technical assessments, algorithmic problems, or deep scenario-based questions. It's more about a practical, accessible way for you to show your skills and experience without it being an excessively hard or multi-layered evaluation.

I recently interviewed for a Senior Renewals Manager position, and it was a great experience. There were four interviews in total: one with the hiring manager and three with leaders from teams I'd be working with. The vibe was professional but relaxed, leading to open and honest chats. I liked that they focused on my skills and experience, and it felt more like a mutual discussion than a formal interview. Everyone I spoke with was nice, supportive, and seemed really into the company. It was also clear they value their employees and encourage teamwork. The whole process was smooth and organized, no delays, and they kept me updated. I definitely recommend applying if you're thinking about EDB.

The overall experience was strange and quite unprofessional, starting from HR to the actual interviews. The HR person initially said they'd send the next steps within 1-2 days after the screening call, but I didn't get anything for over two weeks. Then, for the first-round interview, the interviewer was about 5 minutes late and mentioned that even though an hour was scheduled, 30 minutes would be sufficient. They seemed really reluctant and had a dismissive attitude from the start. During that 30-minute chat, there weren't any real technical questions. It felt more like the interviewer spent 10 minutes explaining their work methods and then asked about my experience with certain Golang libraries, any monitoring tools I've used besides what's on my resume, and how I communicate with international colleagues. I got a thank-you note the day after. When I asked about the role's challenges at the end, the interviewer's response about 'onboarding to the project' was quite puzzling. It would be helpful if specific library/tool experience was a requirement, to list it in the job description to save everyone time. If conducting interviews professionally and adhering to procedures is difficult, perhaps it's best not to. Additionally, there was no feedback form, which speaks volumes.

The interview process was really fast and the people I spoke with were nice. They were clear about what they were going to ask and didn't ask any trick questions. They were also flexible with my schedule. However, there were some issues with people not showing up for scheduled interviews. Twice, nobody showed up for the interviews. The first time, they rescheduled for 30 minutes later after I followed up. The second time, after I showed up and waited, they admitted there was a miscommunication and asked to reschedule for the following week, which ended our communication. Despite these communication issues, the people I did speak with seemed really nice.
