First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ecolab.
Territory Manager
It was a three-step in-person interview process. First, I met with a District Manager, then another District Manager, and finally the Regional Manager. Then they gave me an offer. The whole thing took about 3 weeks from meeting the hiring team to getting the offer letter.
- What are your long-term career aspirations over the next 5-10 years?
Territory Manager
So for this role, I actually did an internship before they hired me full-time. But typically, an interview process would involve talking to the district manager first, and if they felt I was a good match, I would then go on a day-long ride along to get a feel for what a typical day actually looks like.
- Can you describe your familiarity with the tools and systems relevant to this role?
- What is your sales experience like?
District Manager
Don't be in a rush, this can take months. The whole process from applying to starting can take 8-12 weeks, though 4-6 weeks is considered fast. It starts with a phone interview, then usually two in-person interviews. After that, you'll shadow someone for a day to see if you really want the job. Then, there's a physical, and sometimes two. Once the physical, MVR, and background check results are in, you'll get an offer.
- Can you share an instance where you exceeded expectations for a customer, and what was the positive result?
- Tell me about a time when going the extra mile for a customer did not lead to a positive outcome.
