The interview process started with a call from HR. Then there was one online interview with the team members. It lasted about 20-30 minutes. I was asked basic screening questions like tell me about yourself or why do you want to work here. I was a bit disappointed because the job description didn't specify the hour range and the actual time commitment they expected from the intern. The job description said minimum 20 hours, but they stated it's a minimum of 30 hours, and the last week of the month requires full-time availability.

There was a phone interview to check my English level, then an interview with my manager or a senior. The whole process took about two weeks. It might involve an interview with a manager outside your country, and you need to present a sample of your work. So, prepare well, especially your English. It also depends on the position you apply for.

I was reached out to for a phone screen through an email from a recruiter's secretary, which I thought was a bit odd, I would have expected a direct call to be more professional. The recruiter seemed really disorganized, jumping between topics randomly and acting like she'd never done an interview before. At the end of the call, she told me to follow up if I didn't hear from her or the hiring manager about setting up a first-round interview within a week. I ended up emailing her for 3 consecutive weeks. Each time she replied that the hiring manager was traveling and it would be another week. On one occasion, she even called me by someone else's name in her email response, indicating she was dealing with other candidates too. After the fourth email, she stopped responding, so I just gave up. Overall, my experience with Ecolab was pretty negative due to the unprofessional and disrespectful recruiter. It takes minimal effort to reply to an email, and nobody is too important to ignore basic correspondence. She also needs to be better prepared for phone screens.
