My interview experience with Eclerx was quite disheartening. I went through 3 interview rounds, which included technical and discussion parts, and I passed all of them. After just two rounds, they actually brought up an offer and asked about my availability, even suggesting I could start right away, which made me think they were really interested. But then, they threw in an extra 'role-fit' round, which honestly felt like another technical test. I passed that too, but things started getting murky after that. What was even worse was the lack of communication; I was the one always chasing for updates instead of hearing back from the hiring team proactively. Eventually, after a lot of follow-ups, they told me my current salary was just too high for their budget and that's why the offer wasn't getting approved. This was shocking, especially after multiple rounds, positive feedback, and already discussing an offer. They should've brought up salary issues way earlier instead of wasting my time and effort. The whole process felt disorganized, not transparent, and like they didn't value my time.

So the process involved a quick phone call first, and then a written test. The phone interview was about seeing if I could communicate well, think logically, and if I knew the basics of data. Then there was a written test with some logic puzzles, ways to interpret data, and problem-solving. It was pretty straightforward and organized.

First up is an online assessment or aptitude test, which usually includes logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude, data interpretation, and Excel MCQs covering shortcuts, formulas, and pivot tables. Then, there's a technical interview (Round 1) that's more specific to the role. This might involve writing SQL queries for data extraction, filtering, and joining, explaining Excel formulas, creating dashboards or pivot reports, and discussing data cleaning, validation, and reporting techniques.
