Started with a recruiter call from a nice agent who advertised the role. Then, a screening interview with someone in NYC to go over the role and ask some technical pre-screening questions. They also emphasized the 9.5-hour minimum workday. After passing, I had a second technical interview with an engineer in London. This involved many technical questions that only required one-word answers, which felt a bit rehearsed. I passed this and moved to a physical interview at a slightly run-down office. After waiting in reception, I met two account managers, a senior technical person, four techies, and the account managers' boss. The technical folks seemed arrogant and uninterested, possibly part of a good cop/bad cop dynamic. This lengthy interview lasted 3.5 hours, and I had to repeat answers as people swapped out. There were also role-playing scenarios meant to simulate dealing with agitated customers. I passed this stage too. The final stage was a 30-45 minute meeting with a director to discuss my overall fit and what I could contribute.

The interview process was great. They asked basic questions to verify my experience and I got an offer really fast, within 45 minutes of my interview. My advice is to just be yourself.

So, this interview was like 3.5 stages. It started with HR finding me on Monster.com, calling me up, and giving me the rundown on the company and the role. Then, there were about 10 technical questions, which I think were just to see if we were a good fit. The first real interview was a phone call with a senior engineer. They hit me with around 50 questions, covering Windows and Networking stuff, and it lasted about 25 minutes. The second interview was in person with some team leads. They asked me situational questions, like 'What do you do if X happens and you're busy with Y?' or 'Something broke, and you're not sure why, what's your approach?' The third interview was with a higher-up technical person. They threw an impossible scenario at me, probably to gauge how I'd perform under pressure. They also asked me to pick my weakest area from my resume and then drilled me on that.
