I had to complete about two hours of online tests that were full of unusual questions focused on testing thought process and logic, not specifically software or tech. I also had to attend a one-hour information session and a live call. After all that, I wasn't even given a first round interview. It felt like a lot of work for applicants to put in, especially during exam season, just to not get a chance to present themselves.

I got an email to set up a time for the interview. I was able to pick a date and time and got the calendar invite. I logged on right on time, and so did Louie Moreno, my interviewer. He talked about the job and the company benefits.

It was a phone interview, lasting a bit over an hour. We started by talking about my projects and past experience. Then came a bunch of technical questions covering databases, Linux, networking, object-oriented design, and web services. I also had one coding question and was asked to write 3 SQL queries. The coding question involved finding the top two numbers in an array without using any sorting.
