Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Eat Club.
Sales Development Representative
First, there was a 30-minute phone call where they asked typical questions about my past work and my interest in sales. Then, I went to an in-office meeting with four team members. While everyone was really nice, it took a lot of effort to get them to explain the office culture. My advice to people applying is to be confident but also humble and open to learning.
- Can you share an experience of handling disappointment or rejection?
- What are the advantages of EATClubs' process for a typical office environment?
- Tell me about a situation where you felt uncomfortable.
Sales Development Representative
I was contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn. After expressing my interest, we set up a 30-minute phone call. Next, I moved on to three separate 20-minute one-on-one interviews with people from the sales team. The final interview was a 30-minute chat with the CRO. The day after, they called me with an offer. The whole experience felt professional but also laid-back. They seemed more interested in understanding my personality, work ethic, and how I communicate rather than digging deep into my background and skills. It was a welcoming process overall.
- Regarding what's most crucial: your appearance, your words, or your tone of delivery?
Sales Development Representative
I had my first initial phone interview with the recruiter for the position. She was extremely welcoming and professional. I then had another interview with the hiring manager (sales) for the position. She made me feel very comfortable throughout the whole interview process. I was then offered an in person interview in New York City. I did not accept the interview because I accepted a position at a different company. However, this is a top notch company with top notch employees.
- How do your previous experiences align with the requirements of this role?
