I was contacted by a recruiter and had a phone screen, which then led to a 30-minute call with the sales manager. During this call, he mentioned his background playing college football and in the NFL. He also commented on my age, asking if it would be an issue, which I found odd, suggesting age might be a hiring factor. The conversation went well enough to move to an in-person interview with the same sales manager and two Account Executives from the sales team. The AEs were quite arrogant for a company that primarily sells sandwiches. The first AE, who seemed very new, read questions from a script and was not engaging. The second AE was smug, cocky, and appeared uninterested in interviewing me.

Behavioral Case

The interview process was pretty straightforward. It started with a phone screen and then moved to an on-site interview. The on-site involved meeting with three team members: two Account Executives and the Director of Sales. The interviews focused on my sales background and experience, so the questions weren't overly difficult. Despite the relaxed atmosphere, it was important to be proactive in asking questions and keeping the conversation flowing. It seemed like a positive experience overall, and the company appears to be a great place to work.

Behavioral Technical

The recruiter hit me up on LinkedIn and we scheduled a phone screen a few days later. Since I was interviewing for a job in another state, she then moved me to a video interview where I spoke with two people for about 1.5 hours. Everyone I talked to was really friendly and easy to chat with, and they seemed genuinely invested in finding the best fit for me. I actually decided not to proceed to an on-site interview because I had already accepted another role that I was really excited about, but I would have gone for it otherwise. The recruiter was always available and upfront, making the entire experience a good one.
