I first chatted with a recruiter who then set up my hiring manager interview. We had a good discussion since my background is in student tuition payments and fintech lending platforms. The HM seemed pleased with my answers and laid out the rest of the process. A week later, I got a generic rejection message which was unexpected. This role has been posted continuously since last summer, and I saw it again in March 2024. I advise against interviewing with this company as it's a waste of time. It seems like there are issues with the hiring process or managers that haven't been addressed, as this pattern of reposting the same role is common.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

It was a 30 min call with a recruiter, then a 45 min visio call with the hiring manager. Then an onsite panel of 6-7 people from dev, design, product, and business. The experience was good overall. I thought I was going to get a verbal offer after my chat with the recruiter. The hiring manager even checked my professional references. After the onsite in early March 2020, while awaiting a decision, the team decided to halt the process. They enjoyed meeting me and thought I was a strong candidate, but felt pressured by internal timelines. Due to new emergency protocols, they decided to reassess the position's needs. The lead recruiter then ghosted me when the position was reposted. It was disappointing to lack transparency from the hiring team, especially when I believed radical candor was a core company value.

So the interview process started with a recruiter call, then I had a call with the hiring manager, and then I had a call with some team members. I also heard there might have been a take-home exercise, but I didn't get that far.
