Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Early Warning Services.
Product Manager
Overall, a very good experience. The process consisted of three rounds, with the final round conducted in person. Communication was clear throughout, and each stage was well-organized. I had a positive experience overall but thought it was interesting how the final round was in person.
- Can you share your experience with developer portals?
Product Manager
The recruiter was good and set things up nicely. But it got kinda unclear later on. They didn't like answering clarifying questions and there wasn't much transparency. No feedback was given either. Also, interviewers shouldn't waste candidate time with jokes if they aren't interested.
- Would you be able to present a case study based on the brief provided?
Product Management Director
I applied online and a recruiter reached out to me for HR-related questions. Then, I had a 30-minute call with the hiring leader. After not hearing back for a month, I followed up with the recruiter via email but got no response. I ended up calling the recruiter to get an update. The recruiter checked with the hiring leader and set up two more rounds with CXO-level individuals. I cleared both of those rounds and received positive feedback. The recruiter then scheduled a fourth round with the CPO, which I also cleared. Still no response after that, so I called the recruiter again. I was informed that the position wasn't a perfect fit for my skills and they already had someone with my expertise, although it was actually two sub-categories within a function. They could have figured this out from my resume instead of making me go through so many rounds. Perhaps the hiring leader forgot about me since it took months.
- Can you tell me about your product management experience?
- What are your leadership capabilities?
