The interview process involved 2 rounds. I made it to the second round where I was asked if I had ever eaten at the restaurant before. When I said no, the interview was over. So, probably try out the restaurant before the second round to be more familiar with the menu. After the interview, she said she would let me know about the job in 2 days, but I never heard back. So, if you get the job, you will be offered it on the spot. Also, do your research on the restaurant and take your time during the interview, and you should be fine.
- Have you ever dined at Earl's before?
Line Cook
I attended Earl's Career Hiring Day and dropped off my resume. The head chef of the kitchen interviewed me, asking about myself and my experience as a Line Cook.
- Can you walk me through a typical day in your role as a line cook?
- What elements do you consider crucial for success within a kitchen environment?

The interview process at Earl's Kitchen felt really lazy and impersonal. The manager hardly asked about my experience or skills and instead focused on generic questions that didn’t seem to matter for the role. They didn’t make an effort to understand my background, strengths, or how I could help the team. The whole talk felt like a checkbox rather than a real attempt to get to know me. It felt like they had already decided or just didn’t care who they hired, as long as someone took the job. I left feeling like it was a wasted chance for both of us and wondered if this was the kind of place I wanted to work.
- In your own words, what is hospitality?
