So, first, a recruiter from e-Builder hit me up on LinkedIn, and we chatted for a bit. The next week, I had a phone interview with a Program Manager and did this online test thing. Then, they set up a bunch of interviews for me on-site, which took up a whole morning on a Friday. The recruiter called me the following Tuesday morning to offer me the job, and I got the official written offer later that day. They were really honest and professional the whole time, which made me feel good about the company from the start. I took the offer and it's been great.

The interview process was really long. I felt like they were unsure about hiring me, which is why it took ages to get a response. I ended up having two final round interviews. Sadly, I had to turn down the offer in the end. It started with a phone screening, then they flew me out for a full day of in-person interviews. It was quite a marathon, meeting around five different people for about 30 minutes each. The very last part was a role-play scenario, which wasn't as bad as I expected. They said I'd hear about next steps in a few days, but it took almost three weeks to get back to me. Then, they asked for another final round interview, this time over the phone.

I have 15 years of experience working from home and traveling implementing complex software, and dealing with clients face-to-face in various industries. I passed two phone interviews and then they flew me out of state for an in-person interview. I interviewed with two new people and the same two I spoke to on the phone, one of whom joined via video call. I was asked to do a role play exercise for requirement gathering, which they complimented me on afterwards. I am qualified for the job, and they mentioned they were hiring 12 people for this position. I expected an offer but did not receive one. My only guess is that after the in-person interview, they could see my age and appearance, influencing their decision, which they couldn't assess over the phone. They say they want experienced people, but experience often comes with age. I'll be looking for more comments from others who didn't get offers. Given the number of negative reviews, this might be a good thing. If you work there and are complaining about not hiring fast enough or lacking skills, management's decisions are the reason. Talented people are being passed over due to age or looks.
