The first round is a video interview where questions pop up on the screen and you have to film yourself answering them. You get about two minutes to prep for each question, then another two to three minutes to answer. It's very impersonal and pretty stressful.

It was a super relaxed interview, first talking to someone in the department, then HR. The main interview was just to get a sense of your interest in project finance and your personality.

Had a nice chat - but faced age discrimination. I already knew the people involved, so the discussion was very productive. I received very positive feedback on my qualifications and transferable client portfolio at the end. I genuinely thought we could reach an agreement. So, it was quite shocking to find out I was deliberately rejected because the HR department is fundamentally against hiring someone who would increase the average age in the department. In my opinion, this practice constitutes clear age discrimination and violates the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG). Despite my proven qualifications and the positive feedback, I was excluded from the position solely due to my age.

Super quick and professional application process, only 8 days from applying to hearing back, which was lucky since I applied just before the assessment center. After applying on my own initiative, I got invited to a video interview where I could see the questions beforehand online. Then, I was invited to the AC, which included a nice get-together with other trainee applicants, the HR trainee managers, and current trainees. The AC itself was challenging and demanding but manageable and respectful. Besides the company getting to know the applicant, we as applicants also got to know the employees during the AC and gained a great impression of the team spirit and company values through interactions with other applicants and employees.
