First HireVue interview was pretty standard. Make sure you're ready since you'll only have 3 minutes for each question and get 3 attempts. It'll also have a quick math and a visual pattern recognition game. You gotta be quick to score high. The final interview is super technical. You'll get 24 hours to prep for a case study where you design a product concept. The final interview will mostly focus on the design you came up with. Gotta think creatively, or at least have solid reasoning if you don't. If you know how competitive Dyson is, be ready to knock it out of the park with your answer.

I applied online and had to share my portfolio via email. After they liked my portfolio, I had an initial interview with the Hiring Manager. It was an hour to talk about my past work and Dyson's mission. I passed that. Then, a second interview was set up with the same Hiring Manager and a Senior Manager. This one was longer and included questions about my values, technical skills, and a presentation about solving a problem with one of their products. The whole thing went well, and the recruiter was quick to respond. Make sure you know a lot about Dyson and your own career history. That's key to doing well.

The graduate scheme interviews start with a set of 'virtual' video questions. You need to respond to a question that appears and record yourself. It's a strange experience to do an interview without another person, without natural feedback or conversational flow. I've also heard that they might analyze these videos using AI, potentially selecting candidates whose body language and speaking style are similar to current high performers at Dyson. If this is true, it wouldn't encourage diversity, and such an AI might be biased towards privately educated British males.
