Solutions Engineer
So the recruiter hit me up on LinkedIn. We chatted for a bit, and I asked about the process since we were running out of time. They're looking for: An hour-long intro call with the hiring manager, then another hour-long technical call with their peer, followed by a 3-person technical panel for an hour. Oh, and a 2-3 week trial where I'd have to do some technical work on their platform. It was a good chat with the recruiter, but honestly, I'm not about to put in 10-20 hours for a job that's exactly what I've been doing for ages.

My interview at Dynatrace was a positive and insightful yet challenging experience, aligning well with my expectations for a company of its stature. Initial discussions with the recruiter and director were casual yet informative, offering a clear understanding of the role and company culture. The process included three interviews, a product demo, and a background check. It began with a recruiter assessing my fit, followed by a culture fit meeting with the director, providing insight into team dynamics. A peer interview offered a practical view of expectations, and the final team presentation of the Dynatrace product with limited prior knowledge tested my presentation skills and adaptability, simulating a real customer call scenario that emphasized practical skills over theoretical knowledge. Throughout this process, the communication was clear and prompt, keeping me well-informed at each stage. Despite being aware of the competitive nature of the selection process, the experience felt natural and well-structured, affirming my interest in joining the Dynatrace team. This experience reinforced my desire to join Dynatrace and my respect for the company, leaving me excited about the potential for growth and contribution.

The interview process was pretty good. They were open to letting me connect with people outside of the initial interview panel, which gave me a better perspective. This allowed me to get a better feel for what it's like working in this role beforehand.
