Sales Development Representative
It was pretty simple, just a few stages, and then we had a panel presentation at the end. The presentation was about the role and how to handle challenges potential customers might have. We usually get an hour for the panel, but overall it was a good experience.
- Can you describe common objections to implementing a solution like Dynatrace?
Sales Development Representative
My first interview was with a recruiter, and it went really well. The job posting said you didn't need IT experience, but they'd train you if you were motivated and willing to learn. The second interview, with the sales director, was way different. We talked in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, and he wasn't friendly at all. He was kind of arrogant and kept asking why I'd leave my job if I didn't know the technical terms he was asking about. The job ad and the recruiter's screening didn't match the second interview at all. They need to fix the job postings. The website says if you live X miles away, you can work 100% remotely, which is my situation. But in the first interview, they said I'd have to come to the office two days a week. Then in the second interview, they said three days a week.
- Could you tell me about the products the company offers and the services it provides?
Sales Development Representative
I started with a recruiter phone call which went well. Then I had two 30-minute Zoom interviews with sales team leaders. The first one was tough, the interviewers seemed biased against me from the start. The second one was strange because only one of the two interviewers showed up, but we had a good chat and he liked my tech background. It was a really odd contrast. After the final interview, I was told the sales recruiter would follow up, but after a week of no response, my email also went unanswered. It's been two weeks now, and I haven't heard anything back. It feels like they don't value applicants and just ghost you.
- Why are you interested in sales, but don't tell me about your personality?
