I was contacted by Dynatrace's Talent Acquisition team about a role in Austria, and they asked about my willingness to relocate. I declined relocation but was open to frequent travel, which leadership approved before we proceeded. The process included: an intro call with TA (Hiring Manager), an interview with a peer Director, a panel with 3 software leaders, and a final interview with the CPO, followed by a debrief. The process was good overall, with everyone respecting my time and answering questions honestly. However, things got weird during the final debrief. They mentioned an upcoming leadership meeting in Austria and wanted to finalize things, calling me the 'preferred candidate.' They asked for my salary expectations and references, which I gave, and they said they'd be in touch in a week. After a few weeks of silence, they emailed saying they were pausing for the Christmas break, as the company closes then, and would reconnect in January. I followed up in January with no response, then again in February with no response. I tried other methods too, still nothing. Meanwhile, I noticed they reposted the job multiple times. I was completely ignored. It's understandable if they changed direction, but it's unethical to be disregarded without feedback, especially after being told they were about to send an offer.

Behavioral Presentation

I got offered a first round interview the day after applying and had a great chat with the hiring manager. I then had a second and third interview with different team members pretty quickly and they said decisions would be made fast and I'd hear back after the holidays. I emailed to follow up since I heard nothing and never got a reply. I was pretty bummed out after three conversations and a clear timeline, I thought some kind of follow-up or feedback on my application would have been nice. Overall, I really liked the team members and the company seems to be doing cool, innovative stuff, but this recruitment process for a recruiter job was really a turn-off.

Behavioral Presentation

It was a really good and well-rounded process with three parts. First, there was a screening with basic questions about my experience, what I expected, and my availability. Then, I had an in-depth interview focusing on my experience. The last part was a presentation, and before that, there was a Q&A. Everything felt really friendly and positive throughout the process. Getting feedback was also pretty straightforward.
