Behavioral Presentation

This was a long and tough interview process, around 8 steps. It included a recruiter screen, two rounds with the hiring manager, a call with the regional director, then the VP, followed by a panel presentation with the regional director, VP, and hiring manager. After that, there was another VP call and finally a call with the Sr Director. The panel part was really challenging. My advice is to take it super seriously and get help if you need it. Prepare like you would for a real customer meeting. Actually do some discovery, don't just go in and dump info. The recruiter mentioned two other candidates made it to the panel but didn't get through.

First, there was a recruiter screening call, which was pretty standard and a nice chat. Then, I met with the hiring manager from Finland. This part was not good. He was late and acted like I was wasting his time from the start. He seemed really cocky and arrogant, and it made me not want to join his team.

The first interview with HR went well. However, the second interview left me with a lot of unanswered questions. At the beginning of the interview, I specifically asked what factors were crucial for success in the position and what qualities the interviewer was seeking. I received a brief, standard response. Then, I was informed that the growth rate in the Bay area was 80-90%, which seemed incredibly high compared to the company's published 30% growth rate. Towards the end of the interview, the interviewer mentioned looking for a candidate with an extensive rolodex. This raised further questions for me: why would a rolodex be necessary with such a high projected growth rate of 80-90%? Additionally, for sales involving $6-7 digit price points, a rolodex alone wouldn't suffice to facilitate or implement such a large-scale solution sale. What would be needed when the rolodex is no longer effective?
