I applied for the Store Manager job on Indeed.com and did some online assessments. Then I got to pick an interview time. An email from CMRG confirmed my scheduling. A client relationship manager from Headway Workforce did a phone interview that lasted over an hour. It was a good interview where they asked a lot about management concepts and how I've used them, asking for examples. They mentioned the District Manager would call. The DM called the next Monday to schedule an interview, then called back to change the time. Later, I got another call to change the location due to a scheduling conflict. I went to the interview at a loud, distracting cafe. It was about an hour long. We talked about management style and I asked about what I'd read online regarding the casual male group, specifically about store conversions. I asked what would happen to the store I was applying for. The DM explained that two stores would be combined into a new DXL location, and only the best performing managers would be kept, with others being let go within six months. He said that if hired, I'd have six months to learn the company and outperform other managers, or I could be fired. I was still interested, and he said he'd decide in two weeks. It's been two months with no follow-up, not even a rejection. It felt like a waste of time, but I think it was for the best, as it doesn't seem like a company I'd want to work for based on others' experiences.

I was reached out to by a recruiter for a store management opening at a clothing retailer. I applied online after finding the job posting and completed some online assessments. Then I scheduled an interview. I got an email from CMRG confirming my interview. A client relationship manager from Headway Workforce, who I spoke with for about 1 hour and 10 minutes, conducted the phone interview. It was a good interview where I was asked about management concepts and how I put them into practice, with requests for specific examples. The DM was going to contact me because they were in town this week and the role was critical. I was given the DM's name and asked to complete my CMRG profile and apply to the CMRG posting. Headway sent a confirmation email about the DM reaching out and the CMRG link. I noticed there wasn't a store manager posting on CMRG, so I submitted my resume and cover letter to another posting for that location just in case. I've seen application system glitches before. I replied to Headway, thanking them and mentioning the missing posting. It's been over two weeks and I haven't heard back or received a response. It's a shame because they might have missed out on a good employee.

Applied online, then had a quick phone call to set up an interview with a Regional Sales Manager. Met at Starbucks for a 30 minute interview that ended up being 90 minutes. Took Predictive Index Assessment online. Had a phone interview with another Regional Sales Manager, then a phone interview with an Area Vice President, and finally a phone interview with a Territory Vice President before receiving an offer/acceptance.
