Project Manager
The hiring process had two parts: first a group interview, then a one-on-one. The group assessment was really interactive and engaging. The managers didn't just look at our academic and professional background, they wanted to see how we actually worked together solving some business cases. It was a great chance to go beyond a standard interview and show our people skills and problem-solving abilities. The one-on-one interview was more traditional, with questions mainly about my university path, any previous work experience, and my personal interests.

- Considering how competitive this role is, what makes you the right candidate for us?
Project Manager
So, first you send in your resume and cover letter, and sometimes you gotta fill out an online form too. Then, they look at your stuff to see if you kinda fit. If you do, they might give you a call to chat about your background and why you're applying. If that goes well, there might be some skills tests or even personality tests to see if you're a good fit for the team and the job. That's pretty much it.
- Could you share some details about your previous work experience?
Project Manager
I only went through the phone interview stage. The interview was with the PMO and felt confrontational. I felt like I had to defend my 20+ years of experience and PMP certification, even though I've done hundreds of interviews and been in dozens myself. It was one of the top 2 worst interviews I've had. I wouldn't have moved forward even if they offered a follow-up.
- How do you manage projects?
- Tell me about your project management experience.
- Can you explain this specific project management concept?
