Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at DWS Group.
Investment Manager
The interviewer was late and unfriendly. They asked questions that didn't seem relevant to the role. In the end, there was no offer, and no reason was given. (I wasn't interested in working there anymore anyway.)
- For the selected funds, which stocks would you recommend purchasing?
- What do you estimate the beta to be for company X, company Y, and company Z?
Investment Analyst
The interview was a video call with two people (a Director and a VP) and was meant as an initial get-to-know. We arranged it spontaneously over the phone. After a brief introduction to DWS and the department, they went through my resume, and finally, technical questions were asked.
- Definition of IRR?
- Calculation of IRR?
- Outline the cash flow model up to NOI.
Asset Manager
I was contacted by someone who works there because I was looking for an internship and was offered an interview at their offices. So I was received in their Paris offices.
- What indicators are used by the asset manager?
