Standard call with coach, took about 2 calls to get an offer. Held it for around 3 months before accepting and committing to play sports at Durham Uni. All basic questions, like Why Durham? What do you want to study? What are you looking to get out of the year?

First, I sent in my CV and cover letter. Then I had an interview over Zoom with the supervisor and someone from industry because it was during the pandemic. It was about an hour long, and they were really nice even though I didn't manage to answer one question.

The hiring process was quite straightforward and quick, with good communication throughout. After applying, I was asked to give a presentation about my background and the personal skills I could contribute to the project. This happened soon after I applied, and I heard back about the results fairly quickly.

There are two rounds. First is a meet and greet with the team, an informal chat. I feel this should be the last stage. The second round is a formal technical interview. In my experience, most questions were hypothetical (40%) and non-technical (60%). No questions were asked about my previous projects or technical details. The lab members were friendly, though.
