Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Dun & Bradstreet.
Account Executive
The interview process involved three interviews: an initial phone screen with the recruiter, followed by a video call with the hiring manager, and finally an in-person meeting at the company's headquarters. The whole experience was straightforward, quick, and stress-free.
- Can you describe your previous sales experience?
- What were your reasons for leaving your last job?
Account Executive
The interview process was informative and ran smoothly. The recruiter was very attentive. It involved 4 steps: first a phone call with the recruiter, then a video call with my direct manager, followed by a video call with their direct report, and finally an in-person interview with the Senior Director.
- What information have you gathered about our company from your research, and what areas do you think need improvement?
Account Executive
I had an initial phone screen about the company, which was straightforward. The job description mentioned the possibility of moving to a more senior role within 3-6 months. When I asked about this, I was told the job duties would change, but the title and pay would remain the same. This seemed misleading. I declined the invitation for a second round interview because the pay was significantly lower than the market average. It felt like they were trying to hire mid-level executives for an entry-level position.
- Can you explain your reasons for seeking a new position?
