First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Duluth Trading Company.
Customer Service Representative
We did group and individual interviews together in the same room at open tables. They told us most things but not everything that would help decide if I wanted the job.
- Do you like people?
- Do you know Duluth items?
Customer Service Representative
First, there's a telephone screening call, and if you're selected, you'll do a video interview. It's recorded at your home and convenience. It's a bit awkward, but overall a good idea. Once you tell the computer you're ready, you only get one chance to answer each question. Practice a lot before the actual interview so you can feel as comfortable as possible. This is a very forgiving company, so don't stress too much about the video.
- How do you resolve a specific customer complaint?
Customer Service Agent
After sending in my resume, I got a link for a slick one-sided video interview. Then, about a week later, I had a phone interview. The interviewer seemed a bit cold and was very direct, like they were just reading questions off a list. They mentioned they joined DTC last fall and were hiring for seasonal roles. They made me commit to weekend hours right away, which was different from the 'flexible' hours advertised. They also said I should expect a call and equipment from HR soon. Unfortunately, two weeks passed and I only got a generic email saying thanks for sending my resume.
- Considering weekend shifts are required (minimum 6 hours), which day would you pick to work?
