First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Duane Reade.
Sales Associate
The interview involved an interview panel with the District Manager and two store Managers. They asked fairly simple questions about what we knew about the company and how we would define good customer service.
- Could you tell us what you know about our company and your motivation for wanting to work here?
- Can you share a negative customer service experience you've encountered and explain how you believe it could have been handled better?
Sales Associate
I went in and filled out a computer application. It seemed like a slow day, so they interviewed me right away. They hired me, I did all the paperwork, and they gave me my schedule. I showed up for my first day, went through training including HIPAA training, and was trained to work in the pharmacy as a cashier.
- What would you do if you witnessed a coworker stealing from the company?
Sales Associate
The interview was straightforward. I dressed in a nice button-up shirt and they asked me some customer-service related questions, which I handled well. My only issue was that they didn't mention upfront that the role involved doing multiple jobs beyond just the one I applied for, which felt a bit misleading.
- Would you be open to handling various responsibilities for this position
