First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at DTLR.
Sales Associate
The interview process was pretty easy overall. However, the upper management came off as having a nasty attitude during the initial phone call and the main interview. The upper management was also unprofessional. I wouldn't suggest working for this company because it's filled with drama. The HR department seems unaware of what's happening in the stores and districts, and it felt like a few labor laws were broken.
- What unique value would you contribute to our team?
Sales Associate
It was a great and surprising experience, I interviewed twice in two days. The first was a one-on-one interview where I dressed up. The second was a group interview with about five of us, and we were asked to dress as we would for work. After the interviews, the manager asked three of us to stay and offered us the jobs right away, and we all signed contracts that same day.
- Given a shoe chosen by the manager, could you assemble a matching outfit including a bottom, top, and hat?
Sales Associate
It was a pretty easy and simple interview with the manager. They asked me how I heard about the job and how I would sell an outfit to a customer. It was quick and simple, done in the back room. They also told me about all the volunteering I might have to do and asked if I was up for that.
- Can you describe yourself in three words?
