It was a really chill interview process, just HR and the Manager. They asked about my past work, my career aspirations, and what I understood the role to entail. The second stage was pretty much them telling me I got the job.
- What is your understanding of our company?
- Tell me about your previous experience.
- What are your career goals?
Content and Social Media Manager
I went through THREE interviews, with a few weeks between each. About 6 weeks later, my initial interviewer called. He asked how the last interview went. I said I thought it went well and appreciated the role info. He then said she also thought it went well. He paused and told me they were passing bc I didn't have enough HubSpot experience. It felt like a huge waste of my time. Why ask for feedback when they were turning me down? Also, software platform experience could've been covered in the FIRST interview, saving everyone time.
- Can you tell me about your experience?
Accountant
The interview process went fast, and HR was super communicative throughout. My only issue was finding out I didn't get the job because it reappeared on a job board after being removed during my interviews. HR reached out two days after it was reposted, but I already knew it was a no-go by then.
- Can you discuss your previous work experience and your skills in supervision?
Account Executive
It was a long, drawn-out, and messy interview process. I went through several interviews, and they kept repeating the same information and asking the same questions. I learned that they do layoffs every few years, and the most recent one was last summer. Now they're hiring again for the same roles that were cut just a year ago. The whole process involved 4 interviews and took more than 3 months. The interview process was poorly managed, which makes me think the rest of the company might be too. The external recruiter was great, but even they had trouble communicating with the management team during the hiring process.
