It was a very easy process. First, an HR call, then a manager interview where they asked behavioral questions and about my tech experience. They let me know if I got the job the following week. The whole process was very smooth, and I really liked it.

The interview uses the STAR method, so you should be very detailed in your answers, covering each part of STAR, especially the result. It has 5 questions and is usually with one interviewer. They ask about using tools like Excel/Access for tasks, and questions about organization and dealing with unresponsive people. For STAR, it's 'name a time this happened to you' rather than 'what would you do'. So, prepare stories from your past experiences that can be adapted to the questions.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • Tell me about a time you identified a safety concern and took action to fix it.
  • Can you share an instance where you utilized tools like Excel or Access to accomplish a task?

Got an email about 15 minutes after applying to set up an interview for the next week. There was some confusion with building entry instructions, but it didn't end up being a big deal. The process felt a bit unorganized, like departments don't talk to each other much. Random people kept coming in and out of the interview room, and another intern was taking notes, which was unexpected and threw me off. The job posting didn't include important details I'd expect, leading me to believe it was for one type of role when the actual position was different. I wasn't told much about the actual job until the middle of the interview; if I'd known, I would have highlighted relevant experience more. On the plus side, the department seemed nice and flexible with school schedules, which is unusual.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Were there in-depth questions about related work experience, given it was advertised as an entry-level internship in a broad department?
  • Did most questions relate to former projects?
  • Did any questions about the actual position offered come up, or were you lectured on what you'd need to learn instead, even though the ad was for a different sub-department and you had relevant knowledge you weren't able to discuss?
