Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at DTCC.
Analyst
The interview had 3 rounds total. First, I had an online assessment that had 2 dsa questions and 1 sql question. For the dsa questions, each had 15 testcases and I passed 13 and 12 respectively. After the OA, 20 people were shortlisted for 2 more rounds. The next round was a technical interview where I was asked a sql question and had to write it on paper, followed by a discussion about my resume. The final round was an HR interview, which mostly consisted of behavioral questions.

- How did you tackle problems in your previous internship?
Analyst
There were 4 rounds of in-person interviews, and I met with 4 different people in each round. All of the interviewers asked the exact same questions. We attempted a video interview, but the DTCC technology didn't work twice. The firm insisted my interviews be at 7 am each time. Security took 20 minutes to get through each time. I also had to do writing samples. There was a lot of waiting time between interviews. The offer was fairly low and there was little room for negotiation.
- How would you suggest we improve our business?
Analyst
It was four short zoom interviews. It didn't have many technical questions and was really centered on soft skills. That was a nice change from all the other intense interviews out there.
- Tell me about a challenging situation and how you dealt with it.
