Talent Acquisition Specialist
So DriveTime's hiring process for Talent Acquisition roles goes like this: first, the Recruiter calls you for a 30-min Phone Screen. Then, there's a Microsoft Teams panel interview with 2 supervisors. After that, a final interview with a mix of managers and supervisors. I did the first recruiter phone screen, which was great, but I declined the second round because the salary they offered wasn't what I was looking for. The compensation for this Talent Acquisition Specialist role is like 46-56k base salary (depending on experience) plus a 10k annual bonus, but that bonus is based on team performance, so it's not guaranteed. So overall, the total compensation is around 46-56k, which is pretty low for this field.

Corporate Recruiter
I applied online a couple months back but got an email saying I didn't qualify. A month later, a DT recruiter called, said they changed the job specs for the recruiter role and wanted to interview me. The recruiter talked about the daily tasks, pay, and bonuses. She asked me the same questions from the face-to-face interview (see below), gave me feedback and tips. She said I sounded like a good candidate and set up a face-to-face interview for the next Monday. I had two 30-minute interviews back-to-back. They asked me the exact same questions I'd already discussed on the phone with the recruiter. The first interviewer left, and the second came in and asked the same questions again. I felt prepared with good answers and built a good connection with both. I asked questions about the job and kept the interview going well, no awkward silences. The hour went by fast and I felt good leaving. Then I got the same automated rejection email saying I wasn't a match for what they're looking for. I've been in retail for 15 years, including management, and have recruitment experience. They did mention that most hires had no prior recruiting experience, so I guess that's why I wasn't a fit.

Recruiter
I was contacted by a recruiter via email about a potential recruiting role. After I sent my availability, I didn't hear back for a couple of days, so I followed up with another email. The recruiter then scheduled an interview for me. I was surprised they didn't do a phone screen first given my lack of experience. The interview took place at the large Drivetime office in Mesa, which is a call center. The receptionist wasn't very welcoming, but the interviewer was very friendly and approachable.
