So, I applied for a spring internship back in October 2021 and had an initial recruiter call, which went well. They said they'd be in touch soon to set up an interview. Around that time, I got another offer and asked DriveTime if we could speed things up since they were my top choice. I didn't hear back for a month, then got an email to schedule an interview, like they hadn't taken forever. I told them I'd accepted the other spring role but was open to a summer position if they had one. They said that was fine and scheduled an interview for DECEMBER for the SUMMER role, which was super weird. I requested the latest possible date, which they said was the first week of January. I agreed, but made sure they knew it was for the SUMMER internship. Then, their first question in the interview was, 'So you are applying for the Spring 2022 position, correct?' When I said no, they acted confused, like I had misled them. The interview was about 1.5 hours, and I met with two groups. The first group presented a long case study without sharing it, then asked a mix of technical and conceptual questions. It was tough to follow and think critically when I had to recall everything after just one read-through. The technical questions were pretty basic profit analysis, but the conceptual questions were weak; they seemed to want me to just list what other companies had done, not come up with a relevant business solution based on the case. The second group was better organized and clearer. They bragged about how fast they get back to applicants, saying I should hear back in a few days. It's been over a month, and despite multiple follow-ups with the initial recruiter, I've heard nothing. This whole experience was unorganized and unprofessional, from scheduling issues to getting my application details wrong and being unapologetic about it.

I had a phone screen, then a full-length interview with the manager and another team member, followed by an offer. The full-length interview focused on my past experience and included quick brain-game type puzzles. It was a reading and welcoming environment for a new college grad.

The interview lasted about an hour. The interviewers were really friendly and gave me a tour of the office. Then, they asked me about my experience, covering topics like data types, loops, and functions. There was also a bit of whiteboard work, but it wasn't too difficult.
