The recruiter asked me some typical questions about my past experience. They didn't seem to know much about the job or wouldn't discuss mileage pay and pay differences between stores. At the end of the call, they read out a long disclaimer, apparently for recording purposes. After I got the offer and read the work terms I had to accept, I had second thoughts about taking the job and decided against it. The area manager came across as very impersonal; I suspect they just want anyone who's available. I've worked long enough to know my worth and not undervalue myself like that.

I saw an ad for this job on a Dollar General store door and called the number listed about them hiring. The first lady I interviewed with was super nice and helpful. We met, talked for a bit, and she actually called me the very next day to offer me the position. She was a great person, really sweet, caring, kind, and helpful. She trained me, but then she left the company about two years later, and that's when things really went downhill. The new district manager was just awful to work for. She was constantly calling and yelling at me and was not professional at all, using cuss words and screaming about everything! I ended up quitting because I couldn't handle her personality or how she treated me and other people.
