Software Engineer
The interview process was good overall, and the interviewers were friendly. It wasn't too difficult compared to other companies. I'd recommend applying. The salary was good, though less than big tech companies. I would recommend it.
- Were you asked to solve LeetCode problems?
- Did you complete a personality test?
Software Engineer
The recruiter call was supposed to be friendly, but it ended up being unpleasant and aggressive, even rude. They were twenty minutes late. Even though I thought I bombed that, I got invited for in-person interviews. The first part was a "personality test" which was actually the Wonderlic IQ Test. Then, the in-person interview was also unpleasant. Most interviewers didn't read my resume. The President of the company came in and wasn't even convinced they needed the job, and I had to justify it. After meeting three of the five people, I was told I was done because one interviewer was busy and another was in a meeting. I suspect they had already decided not to hire me because they wanted someone more experienced. A week later, I got a "we're not interested" email from the admin.
- Why should this position exist at all?
- Can you explain why the IQ test is being presented as a personality test?
- Justify the need for this role.
Software Engineer
This was the worst interview experience ever. It involved 3 phone interviews, and then I was called in twice for an on-site 1:1. The phone calls were okay, but when I got to the site, there was so much confusion, they didn't even know who was supposed to interview me. The CIO was super rude during the interview and it felt really disrespectful. The CEO almost offered me the job right then, but in the end, I got rejected. They asked standard questions, and it wasn't clear what they were even looking for. The recruiting manager tried to make the job sound less important to negotiate down my salary expectations.
- Can you explain the difference between procedural programming and object-oriented programming?
