Technical Support
I sent in my resume and application, then had a phone call for scheduling, followed by an in-person interview. The whole thing was pretty fast. After that, there was a virtual meeting call to go over what's next, and then I started the onboarding with the company.
- Can you tell me about your background?
- What products have you worked with before?
- How long have you been in the tech industry?
Information Technology
This was the worst interview process I have experienced. The interviewer made no eye contact, couldn't build relationships, and had terrible interpersonal skills. His attitude was that he knew everything, he asked tons of questions and gave zero room to ask any. He should honestly not have direct reports or the ability to hire anyone. There was unnecessary arrogance, and the process felt rushed as if he had someone already picked. I would have never taken the job even if offered. He talked about teamwork and culture but was clueless about what that meant. This person is well educated but very green and needs serious coaching. He is a Director at an impressive company, but there have been acquisitions. This person needs effective coaching on managing people and hiring processes. He also needs a lesson in humility. This was for the DRIVERSE division. The goal was not only a two-step interview process but to make a decision the same week. No feedback or follow-up after two interviews in the same week. Speculating, this person has the age-old issue of hiring someone with more experience than they have, which has always been my personal goal. If any execs want to know who 'JC' is, they can ask me.

Technical Support Representative
First, we'll have a phone screening, and then an in-person interview with multiple supervisors. They'll ask general questions about your customer service history, technical interests, and so on. The interview process was pretty average and standard, nothing too difficult.
- Tell me about your technical interests.
Technical Support Representative
First, a 10-20 minute phone call to go over some general company info and ask a few standard questions. Second, a half-hour in-person interview where I had to fill out an application and take the Wonderlic test. Then, an interview with a supervisor to get to know each other better and ask general questions. Third, a 45-minute in-person interview that included a tour of the building, interviews with multiple supervisors, some quick technical tests about the company's products, and a lunch interview.
- Can you tell me about your past work experience?
- What are your technical skills?
- Tell me about yourself.
