I got an email for an interview for CSR 1 with Taxwell, which is part of Drake company. The recruiter from TaxAct (Drake Software Talent Acquisition Team) contacted me and gave me a Calendly link to schedule the interview. I set it up and then emailed her to confirm. Two days later, the interview was supposed to happen, but she was a no-show. I rescheduled on Calendly for the next Monday, noting in the comments that I didn't get the scheduled call. She ignored that and missed the rescheduled interview too. It seems like I dodged a bullet working for this company if this is how they operate.

I went through two phone screenings and after they liked everything, a face-to-face interview at Franklin, NC. The phone interview they explained the role and responsibilities. Then a face-to-face panel interview with 3 software people. They were really casual and nice. They asked me mostly technical questions and some about my background. Also asked if I have experience in accounting, payroll, accounts payable..etc. The interview went great and I was sure I was going to start the following week, they even offer relocation assistance, but they never called me or offered me after seeing me.

Behavioral Technical

I had a phone interview with HR, then another phone interview with two team associates. After that, there was a face-to-face interview with the same two associates and the manager. The questions were all conversational and friendly, mostly standard experiential questions. The manager let the associates ask most of the questions and kept an eye on the time, even seeming unprofessional at one point. After the face-to-face, I had to give references. I got offered the job a couple of weeks later for a very low pay, which was unexpected given I'm currently in a Sr. Manager role. I tried to negotiate, but they never called back. I figured they moved on until I got emails months later saying they went with someone else and then that they weren't filling the position. It would have been helpful if they'd clarified it was an entry-level role upfront.

Got an initial meeting request about 2 weeks after applying. This first meeting was to weed out people who didn't show or pay attention to details. We all got two similar tax forms and had 15 minutes to highlight the differences per instructions. Then we could leave and wait to hear back. About 2 weeks later, an email came requesting a face-to-face with the floor managers. It was a standard Manager/Applicant chat, made easier since I was already at Drake. No tough questions, pretty casual. This also took about 15 minutes, and I was told I'd hear about an offer in about 2 weeks from H!.
