I got my resume passed along by a friend at DPR, and after a few weeks, someone reached out to set up a phone interview. It went well, so they wanted me to come in person to their offices. I spent about three to four hours there, meeting with nine different people, including Project Managers, Superintendents, and Regional Managers. We talked about vision, goals, plans for my future and the company's, what I wanted, and what I wanted to contribute. A couple of weeks later, I got a call about a second in-person interview. First, though, another regional manager wanted to chat on the phone. If that went well and they were still interested, they'd fly me out for another interview. The phone call was great, and we covered a lot of the same ground as the other conversations. I hung up expecting the invite for the second interview, but it turned out they didn't even need it! They liked what they heard and offered me the job, which I accepted. It was a smooth process, with clear interest and curiosity from both sides, and it felt like a good fit.
