The interview process was pretty unconventional. I had to do team-building exercises with other candidates who were interviewing for the same roles. Based on this experience, I decided DPR wasn't a place I'd want to work. We also did 5-minute speed interviews with five different groups, each having three people.

It was a super thorough interview process. I interviewed at my college first and heard back about 2 days later that I passed. Then they flew me out to another DPR office, San Diego, for a full day interview. I arrived Friday night and left Sunday afternoon. The interview was about 6-7 hours on Saturday. It was really personal with a speed round of one on one interviews, and we also got to visit a job site and ask the PE questions there. It was a great experience that let both the company and me learn more about each other.

So I had a bunch of standard questions after a career fair scheduled for the next day. They interviewed lots of us students, and they had a list of everyone they talked to. I was the first one up. I was kinda worried they'd ask technical stuff, but they didn't. It was all about me and how I'd fit in.
