First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Dow Jones.
Intern
It was 3 rounds, like 2 calls with HR and then 1 video interview with the senior management. The process was pretty easy and smooth. I got the position too.
- Can you elaborate on your past experiences?
- Tell me more about your resume.
- Do you regularly read any newspapers?
Intern
The interview process was really light and creative, it was super fun to be a part of, and different from others I've done before. I totally recommend it to everyone! Any more words? I've already written a lot.
- What is your desired salary?
- Tell me about your hobbies.
- What is your first name?
Intern
I was supposed to do this 30-minute phone assessment to kick off the interview process. The recruiter called me, but she was speaking way too fast over the phone, making it really hard to understand. She hung up after about 5 minutes, then called me back 5 minutes later. She spoke for another 5 minutes and then wrapped up the interview, saying I'd get feedback within 24 hours, which I never did. It seemed like they were either super disorganized or just didn't care about the applicants.
- Can you give me an overview of your resume?
- Describe a situation where you had to collaborate with a group member who wasn't pulling their weight.
