Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Dover Corporation.
Design Engineer
It was a 3-level process. First, there was an aptitude test, then a technical round, and finally a managerial round. If you passed all three, HR would reach out for the joining process. The aptitude and technical rounds were not too hard, mostly easy to moderate. The managerial round was about seeing if you fit into the company.
- Questions on Strength of Materials
- Questions on Material science
- Questions on Heat treatment processes
Design Engineer
Had 3 rounds of interviews. First was a phone call about my overall experience and some basic stuff. Second was a video call where they asked purely technical and experience-based questions. The last one was the Managerial round, which was pretty good, interviewed by the Design Director and a Design Manager.
- Can you tell me about your overall experience?
- What's the difference between runout and concentricity?
- Explain the difference between roundness and cylindricity.
Design Engineer
It was a bad and arrogant interview experience. The interviewer was late and immediately demanded I answer his questions without wasting his time. He began with simple core mechanical questions after my introduction, then moved on to difficult ones.
- Can you explain Pascal's law?
- What is stress?
