Backend Engineer
The hiring process was super fast, finishing in just 9 days. It was a really good and well-organized experience. First, there was a chat with HR to go over the job details and my background. After that, I did a system design case, and then I got the offer.
- Regarding your last job, what was your experience with software architecture and how did you apply it in your daily work?
Technology Manager
There were 4 interviews in total: with a headhunter, HR, a Technology Manager, and the CTO. The process was basically the same for each one, but I think they all wanted to understand who they were talking to and if there was synergy in the proposal.
- Can you generally talk about your experience in the field?
- Can you talk about your work history?
Product Owner
The entire hiring process felt very human and focused on active listening. I had three interviews: first, a chat with the squad's PM and Tech Lead; second, with the Head of Products; and third, with a Product BP. After each conversation, I was even more eager to join the team, not just because of the squad's mission, but also due to the values, attitude, and culture demonstrated by everyone. Another great aspect was the absence of a case study presentation, as I find companies that use them often don't truly know what they want or how to evaluate candidates effectively (it feels like a lottery of buzzwords). I believe this interview model is sufficient for understanding a candidate's motivations, values, work methods, and so on. It also provides an opportunity for the candidate to assess if the company aligns with their current career goals.
- Who is to blame when something goes wrong?
- How do you manage the expectations of various stakeholders?
Designer
I didn't get a response from the recruiter who said they would get back to me on a certain day. I asked once about the process, and they said they would check with their superiors and get back to me. After a few days, I asked again and never heard anything back. If they didn't plan to respond, they should have just said so instead of saying they would.
- Tell me about your career.
- What are your technical skills?
- What are your salary expectations?
